2001 saw gS striding forward as a three-piece, after the departure of original vocalist Johnny Burroughs. Jimmy took over the microphonic responsibilites, and made his first appearance as frontman in The Temple, January 7. (The first of what would be two gigs in a sadly lean year, the other being Floodfest). A new CD followed in March, "Excuse?", before the summer gave way to the usual bassist-fucking-off-to-Europe hiatus. Except this one lasted a little longer.
